Three Elbert County residents are facing drug charges after being arrested late Monday night.
Elbert County Sheriff Melvin Andrews says that the arrests were made after a deputy initiated a traffic stop off of College Avenue.
“Resulted in the arrest of three individuals on drug charges”, said Sheriff Andrews. “Deputies seized thirteen grams of methamphetamine valued at $1,430, along with less than an ounce of Marijuana.”
Arrested were 31 year-old Karie Bradberry of a Petersburg Road address, 22 year-old Shannon Dejesus of a Jones Ferry Road address, and 21 year-old Coleman Willoughby of a Calhoun Falls Highway address.
All three were charged with one count each of Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana; and were transported to the Elbert County Detention Center.
Bradberry and Dejesus remain in custody at the detention center, while Willoughby is out on bond.
