A tale of three people hopping a train to head out east ended quite not how they would have hoped late last week.
Elbert County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Greg Bryson explains how the group was found.
“One of the lieutenants saw the train from college Avenue and saw the three subjects riding on top of the train, and CSX wanted us to meet them at the Old Middleton Road stop to get the group off the train”, said Bryson. “We got the three guys off the train, which they said they had been riding since Duluth.”
Removed from the train were Zachary Ohl, Nickolas Fowler, and Joshua Peck.
All three individuals were between the ages of eighteen and nineteen years old.
Bryson said the group had no malicious intent, and that they weren’t any real trouble at all.
“They were standing up on the train at one point waving at cars as they went buy; they weren’t any trouble, they were just riding the train to the beach”, said Bryson.
No charges are going to be pursued, as according to Bryson, the CSX railroad police just wanted the group removed from the train
