Tornado Siren Test Coming Up Later this Morning

April 3, 2014

It is excellent weather in store for us throughout the day in Elbert County.

That being said don’t panic or be concerned if you hear tornado sirens going off this morning, as according to Elbert County EMS Director Chuck Almond, the county will be conducting a test of the tornado warning system.

He says with spring arriving it is time to make sure everything works, as this time of year is notorious for severe weather, which sometimes results in tornados and other damaging storms.

This morning’s test will begin right around 9:00am this morning, and will last only a few minutes.
