Two Big Theft by Taking Cases Being Investigated by EC Sheriff’s Office

Elbert County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are looking into a small string of felony theft by taking cases.

The incidents were reported earlier this week on Monday and Tuesday. The first theft was reported at a Jaudon Road address, where the victim reported that over twenty-seven thousand dollars worth of jewelry and cash was stolen from the property.

The other theft, reported on Tuesday, occurred in the area of Rehoboth Road. According to reports, a four-wheel and lawnmower were stolen from the property. The estimated value of the stolen goods was over six thousand dollars.

It is not known if these two incidents are connected. Investigations will continue into both of these cases by investigators with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.
