Two men are still at large after a chase in Bowman ended in a crash.

An Elbert County Sheriff’s Office deputy noticed a Chevrolet Truck with a Four-Wheeler in the back that matched a BOLO from the Hartwell Police Department for a stolen vehicle.

The deputy tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspects began to flee in the vehicle.

The chase continued onto Rehoboth Road, and when the driver attempted to make the turn onto Martin Road, he lost control of the vehicle into a ditch.

Both suspects, described as black males, bailed out of the truck and fled on foot.

K-9 units were called in and an extensive search was conducted in the immediate area, but yielded no results.

Further investigation revealed that the truck was indeed the stolen vehicle from Hartwell, and the Four-Wheeler was one that reported stolen from the Bowman area.

Anyone that may have any possible information on the whereabouts of the two wanted me should contact the Elbert County Sheriff’s Department at (706) 283-2421 or the Hartwell Police Department at 706-856-3226.
