Two New Candidates Enter in the Race for Vacant Abbeville County Sheriff Post

Two more candidates have announced their intention to run for the now vacant post of Abbeville County Sheriff.

Bobby Hall and Skipper O’Bannon are the latest entrants.

Hall, running as a democrat, is a former Abbeville Police officer.

O’Bannon, who is running as a republican, is currently a Captain with the Abbeville Police department.

Accompanying them so far in the race are Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office Chief Investigator Ray Watson and Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office 2nd in Command Marion Johnson, both of which are running on the democratic ticket as well.

The special election is slated for May 14th, 2013 to replace former sheriff Charles Goodwin, who recently resigned and pled guilty to one count of misconduct in office.
