Well Over $500 Raised During 1st Ever Friends Helping Friends Tennis Tourney

Friends helping Friends held their first tennis tournament this past weekend. FHF coordinator Sandy Adams tells us more about the turn out.

“It turned out really well, as we had people lining up to play. Typically each tournament lasted about an hour to an hour and a half. There were people from other counties who were in attendance to participate, so it was a really good turnout”, said Adams.

Winners for the tennis tournament for the Middle school Girls singles 1st place Allie Brown, 2nd Maureen Truett. High school girls singles, 1st place Kayla Rivers, 2nd place Lisa Savachenko.

Winners for High school boys singles were 1st place Ethan Ingle, 2nd place Quentin Thibaut.

Winners for Men’s singles, 1st place Matt Lynch, 2nd place Roger Sawyer. Men’s Doubles 1st place Matt Lynch and William Lynch 2nd place Roger Bullock and Roger Sawyer.

1st place for mixed doubles were Katie Kubas and Matt Lynch, 2nd place Braden Holland and Chuck Holland.

1st place for Women’s Doubles Kayla Rivers and Sara Freeman, 2nd place Haley Andrews

$600 was raised from the event, and will go to benefit the Friends Helping Friends club at the high school.
