Sleet and freezing rain will transition to light freezing rain through midday. Most of the precipitation will fall during the early afternoon hours before tapering off this evening.

Minor sleet accumulations are possible, along with a trace of ice.

Ice and sleet can cause roadways and sidewalks to become slippery, which will make travel dangerous, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Winds are coming south 5 to 10 mph. Precautionary/preparedness actions;a Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite source of weather information for the latest updates.
