The Elbert Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Young Professionals Advisory Board will sponsor its 2nd Annual Womanless Beauty Pageant on Saturday, March 2, at the Elberton Elks Lodge.
Foundation Member Donna Seymour said that last year’s pageant was a great event.
“It was amazing, it turned out to be one the best attended fundraisers that the Elbert Memorial Hospital has ever put on”, said Seymour.
Crowning the new “Queen” will be the last year’s Queen, Rick “Raquel” Higginbotham.
There will be two categories in the pageant. First, there will be the casual dress and second, there will be the much anticipated evening gown competition.
Seymour says there is also an option for the contestants to perform a talent.
“They have a choice of whether they want to do a talent or not, but once they see the first one go, they feel the need to try and top that”, said Seymour.
Twelve men will dress to impress in women’s fashions for the event. Each contestant will get a chance to “strut his stuff” for the guests and collect “crowd favorite” votes for $1 from audience members.
Tickets may be purchased in advance for $20 from the Foundation Office by calling 706-213-2558 or from any Foundation Board member.
Tickets maybe purchased at the door for $25.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served from 6:30 to 7 p.m., with the pageant beginning promptly at 7 p.m.
